STEP BY STEP

Let's make something delicious.

  1. 01

Cut the flatbread into cubes about 2 cm across. Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan and toast the bread cubes on all sides. Remove and leave to cool.

  2. 02

Wash the tomatoes and cucumber. Halve the tomatoes and remove the stalk ends. Trim the ends off the cucumber, then cut the cucumber and tomatoes into pieces about 1 cm across. Peel the onion and garlic. Halve the onion and slice into rings; finely chop the garlic. Halve the peppers, remove the stalks, seeds and white membranes, then cut into strips. Quarter the lettuce hearts, remove the cores and cut the quarters into strips. Put the bread cubes and prepared ingredients into a large bowl.

  3. 03

Mix the lemon juice with salt and pepper in a small bowl. Finely chop the mint and parsley leaves and stir them in along with the olive oil. Add the sumac and stir to combine. Halve the olives and add them to the salad with the dressing. Toss everything gently.

  4. 04

Leave the bread salad to stand for 20 minutes, check the seasoning again and serve.
