STEP BY STEP

Let's make something delicious.

  1. 01

For the tomato sauce, peel the onion and slice into thin rings. Wash and halve the tomatoes and remove the stalk bases. Quarter the tomatoes and remove the seeds. Finely dice the flesh. Press the seeds through a fine sieve and set the collected tomato juice aside.

  2. 02

Heat the oil in a small saucepan and gently sauté the onion. Add the tomatoes and reserved tomato juice. Season with sugar, herb salt and pepper, then simmer for 10 minutes until thickened. Remove the pan from the heat, stir in the basil and leave the sauce to cool completely.

  3. 03

Wash and halve the sweet potatoes. Cut the halves into quarters and, if needed, eighths. Place the wedges in a bowl, add olive oil and spices and mix well. Spread out on a baking tray lined with baking paper and cook in a preheated oven at 200 °C for about 25 minutes.

  4. 04

For the dip, cut the avocado lengthways around the stone. Twist the halves apart and remove the stone. Peel the halves and finely dice the flesh. Place the avocado in a bowl, immediately drizzle with lime juice and mix.

  5. 05

Peel the garlic and crush it into the avocado. Trim and wash the spring onion and tomatoes. Slice the spring onion into thin rings. Halve the tomatoes, remove the stalk bases and seeds, then finely dice the flesh. Mix the spring onion and tomatoes into the avocado with the olive oil and sugar. Season the dip with salt and pepper.

  6. 06

Mix the mayonnaise and ketchup in a small bowl. Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan and fry the burger patties according to the packet instructions. Halve the buns and briefly toast them cut-side down in a hot non-stick frying pan. Wash the lettuce leaves and pat dry thoroughly. Wash and slice the tomatoes, removing the stalk bases. Slice the onion into thin rings.

  7. 07

Spread the cold tomato sauce over the bottom halves of the buns. Top each with lettuce leaves and one burger patty. Add tomato slices and onion rings, spoon over the burger sauce and finish with the top halves of the buns.

  8. 08

Plate the burgers with the sweet potato wedges and serve the avocado dip alongside.
