STEP BY STEP

Let's make something delicious.

  1. 01

Using a mixer, combine all the ingredients except the frankfurters in a mixing bowl to make a smooth, thick batter. Pour the batter into a tall, narrow glass.

  2. 02

Halve the frankfurters and dust them with flour to help the batter stick.

  3. 03

Pour the frying oil into a saucepan and heat it. The oil is at the right temperature when bubbles rise as a wooden skewer is pressed against the bottom of the pan.

  4. 04

Thread the floured frankfurters onto long wooden skewers and dip them into the batter in the glass until evenly coated. Rotate them slightly if needed to prevent drips of batter from forming. Carefully hold the skewered frankfurters in the oil for about 7 minutes, turning them slightly at the start. Remove them once the batter is golden brown. As the oil gets hotter later on, the cooking time will decrease. Place the finished corn dogs on a plate lined with kitchen paper to drain.

  5. 05

For the lime topping, first mix the yoghurt, salt and agave syrup in a bowl. Chop the coriander and add it. Finally, grate the lime zest and squeeze the lime juice into the bowl. Add the grated zest and mix everything together again.
