STEP BY STEP

Let's make something delicious.

  1. 01

Mix the flour, salt, 50 g sugar and yeast in a large mixing bowl.

  2. 02

Gently heat the milk in a small saucepan until lukewarm. Melt the butter in the milk, then leave the mixture to cool slightly.

  3. 03

Add the milk and butter mixture and both eggs to the bowl. Knead with the dough hooks of a hand mixer until smooth. Cover with a tea towel and leave to rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.

  4. 04

Chop the chocolate and mix with the sugar.

  5. 05

Peel the bananas, cut into small pieces and mash with a fork.

  6. 06

Grease the loaf tin and preheat the oven to 180 °C fan.

  7. 07

Knead the dough by hand. Knead again on a floured work surface, then roll out to about 30 x 50 cm.

  8. 08

Spread the mashed bananas over the entire surface of the dough and sprinkle with the sugar and chocolate mixture.

  9. 09

Use a knife to cut the dough lengthways into about 6 strips. Cut each strip crossways into about 5 rectangles, so that the long side of each rectangle fits across the width of the tin. Layer the dough pieces side by side in the loaf tin.

  10. 10

Bake the banana pull-apart bread on the middle shelf for 30–35 minutes until golden brown. Leave to cool slightly, remove from the tin and enjoy while lukewarm.
