STEP BY STEP

Let's make something delicious.

  1. 01

Preheat the oven to 165 °C fan.

  2. 02

Spread the slivered almonds on a baking tray and toast in the oven for about 5 minutes until lightly browned.

  3. 03

Cut the ciabatta into slices and lay them flat on a baking tray. Blend the garlic clove with the olive oil until smooth. Drizzle the bread with the garlic oil, season with salt and sprinkle with the thyme leaves. Toast in the same oven for 10–15 minutes until golden brown.

  4. 04

Remove the stones from the avocados and dice the flesh. Wash the spring onions, slice into rings and place in a bowl with the avocado. Wash the lemon under warm water, grate the zest and squeeze out the juice. Add the lemon juice, zest and honey to the avocado and stir with a tablespoon. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

  5. 05

Gently fold the toasted slivered almonds into the avocado mixture and place a heaped spoonful on each slice of ciabatta. Wash and dry the radishes, then use a mandoline to shave thin slices over the bruschetta. Serve warm.
