STEP BY STEP

Let's make something delicious.

  1. 01

Wash and dice the celery and carrots. Peel and finely dice the onions. Wash the thyme, pat dry and strip off the leaves. Cut the bacon into small dice.

  2. 02

Light the briquettes in a chimney starter or kettle barbecue and let them glow through until they reach a temperature of approx. 180 °C. Pour the oil into the Dutch oven and place the pot on a Dutch oven table or on the kettle barbecue. Add the onions and bacon and sweat gently. Add the mince and fry, turning regularly and breaking it into crumbles. Stir in the tomato purée and thyme. Add the carrots and celery and fry briefly. Deglaze with the chopped tomatoes, then add the stock. Put the lid on and simmer the bolognese, covered, for 60 minutes.

  3. 03

Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti al dente according to the packet instructions in a pan with plenty of salted water. Season the bolognese with the salt, pepper and sugar.

  4. 04

Serve the Dutch oven bolognese with the spaghetti.
